Welcome at
WATERJET - CUTTING - SYSTEMS
WaterJet Cutting- The innovative cutting technique for modern materials
The Stein-Moser Waterjet is ideal for short-run part production, just-in-time manufacturing, tooling, and prototype part development. It requires no tool changes or complex fixturing, so you can reduce setup times by at least 50%. And the smooth finish it leaves behind often eliminates the need for secondary machining. As a result, the Stein-Moser Waterjet can dramatically increase your profitability.
- Rapid setup, no tool changes are required
- No noxious gases, liquids, or oils are used in (or caused by) the machining process
- The work piece is neither thermally influenced nor vibrated by the water-jet
- Does not create heat affected zones or mechanical stresses

GOOD FROM EXPERIENCE
With more than 20 years of tradition, STM is amongst the very first waterjet cutting pioneers
At STM GmbH, waterjet cutting means both systems and tradition.
23 years ago, the Austrian company began series production of its own systems. Right from the start, the aim of the company was to offer its customers bespoke manufacturing solutions with series production quality and first class service. With success: today, STM is one of the world's leading waterjet cutting specialists. With an attractive price-performance ratio, great ease of use as well as high wear resistance, ease of maintenance and efficiency, the compact portal systems mean even small and medium sized companies can make use of this rapidly growing tool technology. But not only that: thanks to intensive research in cooperation with well known institutions, STM guarantees continuity, not only from an organisational point of view but also from a technological point of view. In addition, a mature network of suppliers and sales partners ensures we profit from close and trouble-free cooperation.

CONTROLLED OFFENSIVE
Waterjet cutting systems from STM guarantee, by means of automatic height sensing and collision protection, efficient and trouble-free working even when changing between materials.
During water jet cutting, the distance between the nozzle or focus and the workpiece is decisive when it comes to cutting quality. A reliable distance of one to three millimetres prevents excess tool wear and guarantees an ideal cutting edge.
Therefore, the Austrian water jet specialist, STM, equips its systems as standard with an automatic height sensor, so that not only every cutting job, but also every cutting line can be pre-defined and the manufacturing process fully automated. Similarly, standard integrated collision protection prevents the nozzle from colliding with chips, swarf or other fragments on the material surface.
This means that cutting jobs using the widest possible range of materials can be processed without problem, one after another, in
a time saving and largely automatic manner without any need for retooling. With these two components, STM demonstrates once more how waterjet technology can be used in a particularly economic, user-friendly and reliable manner.
STM is a traditional company, which as
a matter of conviction uses only branded components, worthy of
a longstanding guarantee.

COST CUTTING CUBED
With a unique CAD/CAM solution, STM is significantly expanding the range-of- use spectrum for 3D waterjet cutting
Three-dimensional cutting processes using waterjet cutting technology have until now demonstrated only limited success. Especially using abrasive cutting processes, the CAD/CAM connection was less efficient that a robot solution, but this has now changed: The Austrian waterjet specialist STM has hit upon this niche for itself and has, together with a German system partner, Maximator JET GmbH, developed an application, which for the first time is making smooth and above all parallel 2D and 3D water jet cutting with and without abrasive possible. Hence the system combines the performance capabilities of 3D robots with the economy of waterjet technology. Users also profit from the flexibility of this technology, which makes possible both parallel manufacturing processes and "on the fly" material changeovers. Consequently this innovation is of general interest to the processing industry. Especially non-standard, complex cutting processes can thus be designed so that they are quicker, generate less waste and provide clear cost-savings while maintaining the same quality level.

EFFICIENCY CLASS A FOR STM WATERJET CUTTING SYSTEMS
Waterjet cutting is ecological, economic and practical - one of the most future-proof manufacturing solutions
At no point in time are production processes more under the microscope than in times of crisis. Equally of concern are possible savings, efficiency increases and, often state-aided, ecological aspects. That’s three reasons why water cutting technology is booming worldwide and across different industries. Because water cutting technology saves energy, material, time and your nerves. High time for decision makers to pay more attention to this technology, its opportunities for use and its commercial advantages. This applies for nearly all industries, but especially for those processing steel and stainless steel, aluminium, non-ferrous metal plastic, stone and marble. These are also the core markets of the Austrian water cutting technology specialist, STM. The company impressively demonstrates with its standard quality products, how resource saving and universal this cold cutting process is.
