STM systems are divided into four product lines "EcoCut", "MasterCut", "PremiumCut" and "PremiumCut IFC" and differ in bridge widths and various customized lengths.

Based on the 4 product lines STM can configure a customized system for any requirements - from simple two-dimensional 2D cuts to tube cutting and nested three-dimensional 3D robot cutting processes.

STM produces CNC controlled portal systems as standard in all dimensions and for all applications. The crucial factors for the design are functionality and economic efficiency as well as operating and maintenance comfort and ease of transport.

Structure and price/performance allow small and medium-sized companies to also enter into this technology. All systems can be used for pure-water, abrasive or combined cutting processes. That means that all machines can cut various materials without the need to retool. Parallel cutting (2D) with up to six cutting heads is thus also possible. Our systems are produced in series, are pre-installed, tested and fit for container transport.

STM systems have a compact, user-friendly structure that comprises three elements: Cutting table, control terminal and high pressure pump. These three units are perfectly intermeshed in appearance and function.

Independent of which model, all constructive components and screws are made from wear-resistant stainless steel or aluminium. Characteristic features are the flat bottom as well as the smooth side walls with concealed linear guides without bellows and a high pressure tube guided along in the axes.

The fully digital drive is made up of brush-less AC-servo motors with multi-axle NUM CNC-control. The associated software runs under MS-Windows and only requires a standard computer.

The drawing is done directly in the cutting program where cutting pressure and abrasive quantity are steplessly adjustable. The entire EDP technology is integrated in a freely movable control console where all processes are controlled centrally. This ensures maximum comfort of operation, control and safety.

The standard equipment also includes the abrasive dosing unit with compressed air transport of the abrasive and intermediate dosing. With regard to the high pressure pump, only the best suppliers like Boehler HDT are good enough. Dependent on the requirements, the pump can supply cutting with up to 6000 bar with a connected load of 11-75 kW and up to 1 - 10 litres per minute.

The "Construction Kit" System

The STM "construction kit" system allows, by the use of standard components, to adapt waterjet systems individually to the requirements of the customers. The individual components of STM waterjet cutting systems - ie control, management system, bridge girders, metering, Z-axis abrasive cleaning system, 5-axis cutting head and all other components are well tested, and designed to to be used as modular parts. This allows STM waterjet cutting systems to be even upgraded subsequently. The adaptability and the possibility of subsequent expansion is a key advantage of the STM systems. Also, operating costs to be kept very low by the easy maintenance of standard components.
